Skip the print-sign-scan routine
Everyday paperwork — rental forms, permission slips, quotes, internal approvals — does not need a printer. Sign PDF lets you create a signature on screen and apply it to a PDF in a minute, so a document can be signed from a phone or laptop and returned the same day.
Three ways to create your signature
You can draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad, or finger on a touch screen; type your name and have it rendered in a signature style; or upload an image of your handwritten signature. You can also add initials and a company stamp image for documents that need them.
What gets added to the document
PDF Studio adds a signature block to the last page of your PDF, containing the signature image, your full name, and the date. You can fill in optional details — job title, department, company, email, phone, location — and choose a reason such as approved, verified, witnessed, notarized, or acknowledged, or write your own, plus a short note. Fill in only what the recipient needs.
The block is placed on the last page rather than at a spot you drag to, which suits most contracts and forms, where signatures go at the end. If a document needs a signature in the middle of a page, this tool is not the right fit.
Is it legally valid?
Whether an image-based electronic signature is accepted depends on the country and the kind of document. Many everyday agreements accept simple electronic signatures, while some — property transfers, certain legal filings — require a certified digital signature issued by a trusted authority. This tool applies a visible signature block; it does not create a cryptographic certificate-based signature. When in doubt, check with the person or organisation requesting the signature.
Signing happens in your browser, so the document and your signature are not uploaded.
