Privacy Policy
What happens to your files, your text, and your data when you use PDF STUDIO — in plain language.
Last Updated: October 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PDF STUDIO (“PDF STUDIO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), available at https://pdfstudio.website, handles information when you use the website and its PDF tools. It also lists the third-party services involved, so you can decide what you are comfortable processing here.
The short version: there are no accounts and no sign-in. Most tools work entirely inside your web browser and your file is never sent to us. A small number of tools do send your file or its text to our server or to an AI provider — they are listed in Section 2. We use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which use cookies, and we explain your choices in Sections 4 to 6.
By using PDF STUDIO, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
1. Who We Are
PDF STUDIO is an online PDF utility website operated as a project of Aire Solutions (airesol.net.pk). For the limited personal information described below, Aire Solutions is the data controller.
For privacy questions or requests, email privacy@pdfstudio.website or use our Contact Us page.
2. Your Files and Text: Where They Go
This is the part most people care about, so here it is tool by tool. “In your browser” means the file is processed by code running on your own device and is not transmitted to us.
| Tools | What happens to your data |
|---|---|
| All tools not listed below — for example Merge, Split, Compress, Rotate, Crop, Resize, Organize, Delete Pages, Page Numbers, Watermark, Stamp, Sign, Annotate, Edit, Header & Footer, Protect, Unlock, Repair, Extract Text/Images/Pages, PDF Form Filler, Scan to PDF, the converters to and from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, images, RTF, JSON, and the other formats we offer, and Remove Watermarks | In your browser. The file is not uploaded to our servers. When you close the page, it is gone from our side because it was never there. |
| OCR PDF | Sent to our server. The PDF is uploaded (up to 30 MB and 50 pages), text recognition is performed on the server, and the result is returned to you. Our code processes the file in memory for the request and does not write it to a database or permanent storage. |
| PDF to PDF/A | Sent to our server. The PDF is uploaded (up to 100 MB) and written to a temporary folder so that the Ghostscript program can convert it. The temporary files are deleted as soon as the conversion finishes or fails. |
| HTML to PDF — “From URL” mode | The web address you enter is sent to our server, which downloads that public page’s HTML and passes it back to your browser. The page is then converted in your browser. We do not store the page. The “Paste HTML” and “Upload File” modes stay in your browser. |
| AI tools — AI Summarizer, Translate PDF, Compare PDF, Chat with PDF, AI Proofreader, AI PDF Reader, AI Humanizer, AI Detector | Extracted text is sent to an AI provider. Your browser extracts the text from the PDF (or uses text you paste). The text, not the PDF file itself, is sent to our server and on to the AI provider, which generates the result. See Section 3. |
Retention of your files
We do not keep your files or the text you submit. We do not build a library of documents, we do not require an account, and we do not use your documents for advertising or to train models of our own. The only temporary copies are the ones described in the table above (in memory for the duration of a request, or in a temporary folder deleted immediately after PDF/A conversion).
Because you send some content to us and to third parties for the tools listed above, please do not use those tools for documents containing information you are not allowed or willing to share with such services — for example, confidential client data, medical records, or government identification. The browser-only tools are the better choice for sensitive documents.
3. AI Tools and Our AI Provider
The eight AI tools use a large language model operated by a third party, Groq, Inc. (api.groq.com). When you use one of them, the following is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our server, which forwards it to Groq to produce the response:
- the text extracted from your PDF, or the text you pasted (limited to the first 15,000 to 30,000 characters depending on the tool);
- the options you chose (for example summary style, target language, or tone);
- for Chat with PDF, your questions and the earlier messages in the same chat.
We do not store this text and we do not link it to an account (there are none). Groq processes it to generate the response under its own terms and privacy policy, and may handle it in line with those terms; we do not control Groq’s practices and encourage you to read them. AI-generated output can be inaccurate, so verify anything important.
To prevent abuse, each AI tool limits how often one visitor can use it (10 requests per minute). For that purpose, your IP address and the time of each request are held briefly in the server’s memory — for about a minute, and cleared periodically — and are not written to a database.
5. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages and tools are visited, which countries and devices visitors come from, how they found us, and how long they stay. Google Analytics collects this using cookies and similar identifiers and receives technical information such as your browser, device, and approximate location. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. We do not receive the contents of the files you process through analytics.
You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, by declining cookies in the consent message where it is shown, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser.
6. Advertising and Consent
PDF STUDIO is free and is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies, and may use your IP address and information about your visits to this and other websites, to show ads, personalize them where permitted, measure results, and prevent fraud. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Read our Advertising Disclosure for more.
Visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
If you visit from these regions, advertising and analytics storage are switched off by default until you make a choice in the consent message provided by Google’s consent tool (Funding Choices). You can accept, decline, or change your choice at any time using the privacy settings control the tool provides. Some basic, non-personalized advertising may still be shown if you decline.
Visitors elsewhere
Outside those regions, analytics and advertising cookies may be used without a consent banner, as permitted by the laws that apply there. You can still control them:
- Google Ads Settings: adssettings.google.com
- Network Advertising Initiative / Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out: optout.aboutads.info
- Your Online Choices (Europe): youronlinechoices.eu
- Your browser or device settings for cookies and advertising identifiers.
The site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
7. Server Logs and Technical Information
Like almost every website, the servers that deliver PDF STUDIO record technical information about each request in standard access and error logs: IP address, date and time, the page or file requested, the response status, and your browser’s user-agent string. These logs are kept by our hosting provider and used for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and keeping the service running. They do not contain the contents of your files, and file contents are not part of the page addresses we receive. Logs are retained for a limited period, according to the hosting provider’s settings, and then removed.
8. When You Contact Us
The contact form on our Contact Us page does not send your message to our server: it opens your own email program with a draft addressed to us. We receive your message — including your name, email address, and anything you write — only if you send that email. We use it to reply to you and, if needed, to keep a record of the conversation. Please do not email us sensitive documents.
9. How We Use Information, and Legal Bases
- To provide the tools you ask for (processing files and text as described in Section 2 and 3). Legal basis for EEA/UK visitors: performing the service you requested and our legitimate interest in running it.
- To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems (server logs and rate limiting). Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- To measure and improve the site (analytics). Legal basis: your consent where required, otherwise legitimate interests.
- To show advertising that funds the site (AdSense). Legal basis: your consent where required, otherwise legitimate interests.
- To respond to your messages and requests, and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal effects on you.
11. How Long We Keep Information
- Files and submitted text: not stored (see Section 2); temporary processing copies are deleted or discarded as described there.
- Rate-limiting records: held in memory for about a minute.
- Server logs: kept for a limited period by the hosting provider.
- Analytics and advertising data: kept by Google according to its retention settings and policies.
- Emails you send us: kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and for reasonable record-keeping.
12. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, files processed in your browser never leave your device, and for the tools that use our server we limit what is transmitted and do not store it. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please exercise appropriate caution with confidential documents.
13. International Transfers
PDF STUDIO is available worldwide. Our hosting, Google, and Groq may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we rely on the mechanisms our providers use for this purpose, such as standard contractual clauses.
14. Your Rights
EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
Under the GDPR and similar laws you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time (withdrawing does not affect earlier processing). You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. See also our GDPR page.
California and other US states
Residents of California and several other US states may have rights to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. However, the advertising and analytics cookies described above may be treated as “sharing” for targeted advertising under some of these laws. You can opt out through the tools in Section 6, and you will not be treated differently for exercising your rights.
How to make a request
Because we do not keep your files or run accounts, there is little personal data we can identify as yours; most of what exists is held by Google or your browser (cookies) and can be managed with the tools above. To make a request about data we may hold — for example emails you sent us — contact privacy@pdfstudio.website. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
15. Children’s Privacy
PDF STUDIO is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable law sets a higher age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps. Parents and guardians can limit advertising cookies through browser and device settings.
16. Third-Party Websites
The site may link to other websites, and the HTML to PDF tool can fetch pages you choose. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of other websites, so please review their policies.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our tools, providers, or legal requirements change — for example if we add a tool that processes data differently. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted where practical.
