Extract Pages from PDF

Extract individual pages or page ranges from PDF and save them as new separate PDF files.

Free · No signup required

Sometimes you only need a handful of pages out of a much longer document — a signature page, a specific chapter, a set of exhibits. PDF Studio pulls exactly the pages or ranges you specify into their own standalone PDF files, without altering the original document.

How to Use Extract Pages from PDF

  1. 1

    Upload the source PDF.

  2. 2

Select the individual pages or page ranges you want to extract.

  3. 3

Click Extract and download the new PDF file(s).

Pulling out just the pages you need

You rarely need an entire document. A signature page for a lawyer, one chapter for a colleague, three exhibits for an application, or the single page that proves an address — extracting exactly those pages produces a small, focused file that is quicker to send and exposes nothing else. The original is never modified; you receive new files.

Selecting pages

Extract Pages shows a thumbnail of every page. Click pages to select them, hold Shift to select a run, or type pages and ranges such as “2, 5-7, 12” into the box. Pages do not have to be consecutive, and the selection and the text box stay in sync.

Separate files or one file

Choose “Separate files” to receive one PDF per selected page, which suits pulling apart a batch of individual documents. Choose “Single file” to receive one PDF that contains all the selected pages, in page order, which suits assembling a short extract from a long document.

Pages are copied across without being re-rendered, so text, images, and quality are untouched and text stays searchable. The work happens in your browser, so the document is not uploaded.

Extract Pages, Split PDF, or Delete Pages?

The three tools overlap. Extract Pages is the fastest route when you know which pages you want. Split PDF is built around dividing a whole document into several files at once. Delete Pages is quicker when it is easier to name what to throw away. When you need to reorder the pages you extracted, open the result in Organize PDF.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between this and Split PDF?

Extract Pages is for pulling out specific pages or ranges you choose, while Split PDF is built around dividing the whole document into pieces (like one file per page).

Can I extract non-consecutive pages?

Yes, you can select individual pages from anywhere in the document, not just a single continuous range.

Does the original PDF stay unchanged?

Yes, extraction creates new files from the selected pages — your original uploaded PDF isn’t modified.

Can I extract multiple separate ranges in one go?

Yes. Select the pages you want and choose “Separate files” to get one PDF per selected page, or “Single file” to get one PDF containing all the selected pages.

What is the difference between “Separate files” and “Single file”?

Separate files gives you one PDF for each selected page. Single file gives you one PDF containing all the selected pages in order.

Do the pages I extract keep their quality?

Yes. Pages are copied as they are, not re-rendered, so quality and searchable text are unchanged.

Can I type the page numbers instead of clicking?

Yes. Enter pages and ranges such as “2, 5-7, 12” and the matching thumbnails are selected automatically.

Is my PDF uploaded when I extract pages?

No. Extraction happens in your browser, so the file stays on your device.
